About Mrs. Copeland:
Mrs. Copeland and her husband have been residents in the district since 2013. They have 3 boys,
Henry, twins Miles and Quentin. Amy has a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and
Media Arts from SIUC and studied Meteorology at Mississippi State University. She is a
Schaumburg native and graduated from Schaumburg High School.
Currently, she is the host of a lifestyle program on WGN-TV called Daytime Chicago. She is an
Emmy winning journalist working at WGN since 2004. She has worked as a news reporter, traffic reporter, anchor and features reporter. They took a brief break from Chicago and moved to Shanghai China where Amy launched their first English speaking newscast. Prior to WGN, she held similar roles in Knoxville TN, Evansville IN, Las Vegas and Reno NV.
During her free time, she enjoys running and fitness, and spend a lot of time at kids sporting events.
